As we slow down at the end of what has been yet another challenging year for most, I would just like to send you and the team at ${Contacts.Company Name} the warmest festive greetings and sincerely wish you all a safe, fun and prosperous 2022.

Etiom has continued to navigate the challenges thrown at us over the last couple of years and it is very likely that 2022 will chuck us some more curve balls, but we remain positive that some form of normality will return during 2022.

For us, 2021 saw the launch of the Royal Deeside Motor Show, a large scale outdoor event geared towards all motor enthusiasts. We welcomed nearly 7,500 people to Kincardine Castle and Estate in August - a mammoth challenge for us, but a solid foundation for us to bring its return in July 2022. Thank you so much to our main sponsors, Lamborghini Edinburgh, Aberdeen Paint and Body Repair Centre, Porsche Centre Aberdeen, Finnies the Jewellers. And of course the venue Kincardine Castle and Estate for being so accommodating. One for the motor enthusiasts, check out the highlights!

We were delighted to finally be back at Scottish Self-Build and Renovation, welcoming returning visitors and exhibitors from all over Scotland to the Macdonald Aviemore Resort in September. We look forward to being back at Ardoe House Hotel and Spa Aberdeen in March, Dewars Centre Perth in June and back to Macdonald Aviemore Resort in September. Early uptake on all three events has been amazing - there definitely is no shortage of those considering building their next home! Thanks once again to the continued support by our main sponsor, Scotframe. Here is a snapshot video!

You may remember that we launched the AFFA Fine Open Air Market concept back in November 2020 to support independent makers, market traders and those looking to upcycle and recycle unwanted domestic items looking for an open 'space to be safe' marketplace to trade. This concept continued throughout 2021. It was lovely to see so many visitors to the market, supporting local traders. We were so fortunate to have the support from our partners, Leys Estate and The Rotary Club of Banchory-Ternan.

And we found some time to manage a soft re-launch of TradesAdvisor, a free marketing platform for local traders throughout North Scotland to promote their business online. We will continue to roll this out during 2022. Delighted to see so many of you joining just in the last few months, thank you!

Whilst Scottish Hair & Beauty Industry Awards did not make an appearance during 2021, we were incredibly grateful for the support of the virtual awards that we ran in November 2020. We gave considerable thought to running this again, but the complexities of running a multi-location and multi-streaming celebration are simply too immense. We felt that we would rather channel these efforts into a huge celebration in future, so watch this space! Meantime, check out last year's celebrations at the Scottish Hair & Beauty Industry Awards 2020!

We are deep in the planning process for more of the same next year. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with ${Contacts.Company Name}, whilst forging new relationships with new clients, vendors and partners. Thank you for giving us the chance to work with you this year.

If you need to get in touch with me over the holidays, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Although we are closed during the holidays, I am never that far away from my e-mail and I'll be back in the office on Monday 10th January 2022.

From all of us at Etiom, we hope you have a healthy, fun and relaxing Christmas and we look forward to talking to you all in the New Year.

Etiom continues to carry out internal assessments on its working practises on its events, to ensure that every precaution possible is taken to make its events as safe and "COVID-compliant" as possible.

We are pleased to confirm that we have been assessed and have been allocated the COVID-19 Industry Standard for events. We have confirmed that we will continue to follow government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.

In addition, and as announced in our previous blog post on 1 February 2021, if it is deemed that Etiom events cannot take place on advice from the UK governments, our Ticket and Booking Guarantee means you can transfer your ticket / booking to the following year or receive a full refund.

Although we remain positive that things will look a little more normal by Summer 2021, we continue to work hard on our indoor and outdoor events, so that when the time is right for us to stage them, we can do so in full compliance with UK and Scottish government guidelines and where they remain a safe and enjoyable place to be.

Our open air markets can continue so long as they are selling essential items only. We shall continue to:-

  • Spread our markets out so that each space has considerable circulation space where shoppers can socially distance with ease;
  • Common areas will be regularly cleaned, although these will be kept to a minimum during the strictist lockdown (ie seating removed, all touch points minimised, contactless registration);
  • Hand sanitising stations at entry and exit points, as well as on exhibitor stands;
  • A team of Covid marshals reminding visitors to adhere to social distancing rules
  • Test & Trace procedures run in accordance with NHS guidelines.

We will continue to expand the offering at our outdoor markets as legislation is eased.

The pandemic is an ever-changing situation and if it is deemed that Etiom events cannot take place on advice from the UK governments, our Ticket and Booking Guarantee means you can transfer your ticket / booking to the next event.

We continue to work hard on our indoor and outdoor events to ensure that we stage them in full compliance with UK and Scottish government guidelines and where they remain a safe and enjoyable place to be.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! Think it has already been overused but I guess we will say it anyway. We do sincerely hope that, if they were impacted by COVID-19 during 2020, that they have a better 2021 and perhaps recovery at some point during the year ahead :)

We have been mega busy updating our website during the holidays. We have hopefully made it easy for people to find our main business activities,

Have a peek and see what you think!
